WEATHER OK for tonight

This morning's snow is very likely to end before midday.  We should be fine for the dress rehearsal at the church tonight.  Be careful during your morning commute!!

Feb 27, ONE HOUR REHEARSAL

Start at 7:30, warm up a bit before or on your own.  Let's be efficient!

One hour rehearsal, 2/20

Because of incoming snow, we'll have a rehearsal from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, warm up on your own.  Use your own best judgement in traveling.

Feb 6, Rehearsal is ON

Noon and later forecasts are looking better for Cambridge/Boston.  It looks as if this will be mainly a rain event, with warm-ish ground conditions helping to prevent icing.  Ice would be an issue well outside the city (they were talking Worcester, e.g.).

As always, please use your own best judgement in setting out tonight.

re Feb 6 rehearsal

As of this morning, we're leaning toward rehearsal ON for Feb 6.  Freezing rain is slated to come in 9-10-ish, but treated road surfaces will probably be ok, and temps for Cambridge are likely to stay slightly above freezing.  Timing may change, so...  If you hear nothing by e mail by mid afternoon, please check back here for confirmation.

Rehearsal is ON, but use caution

Today’s sunny day is predicted to be followed, perhaps just before or during the time we are traveling to rehearsal, with a brief period of INTENSE but brief  snow squalls.  If you are driving and it starts to snow around that time, PULL OVER and wait it out.  No problem if that makes you late to rehearsal.  Better to be safe.   These squalls, as are typical for such in New England, are likely to last only 10 to 15 min.  Then it will be clear and very cold.

BUT, please use your own good judgment about traveling out tonight.  Weather conditions in these situations will vary very minutely by location.
